Jamaican Sorrel Drink Recipe

Ginger (1 tablespoon)
allspice, cinnamon, mace, or nutmeg or 1/8 teaspoon powdered ginger
Cloves
allspice, cinnamon, or nutmeg
Dried Orange Peel (1 tablespoon.)
2 to 3 tablespoon. grated orange peel or grated peel of 1 medium orange or 1 teaspoon. orange extract. 
The above are options/substitutions
8 cups Water
2 cups Dried Sorrel aka Hibiscus sabdariffa Flower
1 2-inch piece Ginger (peeled and grated)
1 teaspoon Allspice Berries
4 Cloves
add Orange (peel)
add Maple Syrup (or simple sugar syrup, to sweet. Boil everything together, strain let cool, refrigerate or serve warm, this is the best drink in the summer time cold with ice, add a lemon like the picture or oranges.
Rich in antioxidants & nutrients like fiber vitamin C and magnesium, can be used as an herbal tea, taken as a supplement or enjoyed in dishes like soups, salads and sauces. We use it in soap;Tomato Basil and our at home hair oil.
