Fine Low Density, Low Porosity Hair
Low porosity hair means the structure of hair doesn’t easily allow moisture to be absorbed into the hair shaft. The cuticles are tightly packed and overlap each other making it harder for water and any other elements to saturate (moisturize) absorb in the hair when wet.
Low density means your hair strands are lower than the average amount of individual strands on your head. It also means being able to easily see your scalp; therefore, it is affecting you from having thick and full hair.
Water based products are the key to opening doors for this hair type. Products that have water listed as the first ingredient and Hydrolyzed wheat protein or silk in will help maintain this hair type very well. In addition, using apple cider vinegar as a cleanser strengthens and softens, I have been using it for years and create volume.
The LOC method of application works best, liquid , a cream and then a light oil.
